Whirlpool®: New Rules of Laundry

Whirlpool Canada is the number one national supplier of major home appliances. For the media launch of the new Whirlpool® Duet® Steam laundry pair Bing Creative was enlisted to create the look and feel for the event.

Bing Creative worked with Whirlpool to publish a new book entitled The New Rules of Laundry. Media who attended the event were each given a copy of the book, only to discover... every page in the book was blank. The new rules? There are no rules! In addition to the booklet, Bing Creative designed all banners and signage adorning the event space, including three life-sized vignettes that juxtaposed old and new laundry habits.

Our design brought the idea of a new approach to laundry to life. From the life-sized vignettes that welcomed attendees, right through to the book, our approach enabled physical interaction while demonstrating that the old rules didn’t apply.

The event, working in conjunction with other media outreach initiatives, led to a successful launch, including media coverage in high profile publications such as The National Post and Style at Home.
